Can anyone tell me when Christmas stopped being a holiday and became a feeling? And when it became a moral failing not to feel that feeling?
You never hear anyone saying, "I just haven't got that summer vacation feeling this year." Or, "I just don't feel Arbor Day."
So why are we expected to feel Christmas?

Good point. I'm stumped.
But it's possibly a good topic of conversation over Christmas dinner?
You just aren't feeling Arbor Day?
