Lazy Sunday Links - Just in Case There's Not Enough to Read on the Internet...

Two sites to share with you this week.

First up is Library Thing

It's a social networking site for bookhounds.  You list the books in your library, and find other people with the same weird taste as you  (anybody else with Ulysses and Bridget Jones's Diary in theirs?).

You can post and read reviews and do all the usual social networky things.

But what's really cool is that they send out a monthly newsletter, so once a month I can smack myself on the forehead and say, oh yeah....  I signed up for that.

This month, they announced free books available for review!

Free books, people.  It doesn't get any better than that!

Of course, you have to sign in, and the competition is pretty stiff - over a thousand people vying for thirty books.  But, seriously, FREE BOOKS!

Speaking of which, Daily Lit is a very cool site.  They will send you a daily excerpt of a classic novel every morning (they also have many other kinds of books - some you pay for, but lots of them are freeeeee!).  So, bit by bit, you can work your way through War and Peace and other things you've been meaning to get to, but with one thing and another....

I just think it's great to find something in my inbox that promises to enhance my brain....
